7 The Nest is a luxurious contemporary holiday home set within a private, gated community in a recently-converted clay dry - part of the UNESCO-listed Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. The Nest now sits proudly elevated above Charlestown village centre. The Nest has been developed on the original site of The Lovering Dry, built in 1908 for the production of china clay. The dried clay was shovelled into a deep Linhay for storage and then transferred to the harbour and waiting ships via an underground tunnel. Many of these key features including the Grade II listed chimney are still evident today and have been incorporated into The Nest development.
